2023 Fingal Poetry Festival – Poetry Competitions

The Fingal Poetry Prize and An Fiach Dubh 2023 poetry competitions are open to national and international writers. Entries can be made online from May 1st and will close at midnight on June 30th, 2023.  Entries are welcome from people of all ages and all levels of writing experience.

The winners of both poetry competitions will receive €500 with awards of €300 and €200 for 2nd and 3rd place. Winning poets will be invited to an awards ceremony in Skerries on September 16th as part of this year’s Fingal Poetry Festival. 

  • The Fingal Poetry Prize is open to poems in the English language, judged by Jessica Traynor and sponsored by DHL Ireland. Full details are available here: Fingal Poetry Prize
