The ECHOES Maeve Binchy & Irish Writers Festival will take place from 1st – 3rd October 2021 at Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre.

“This Year It Will Be Different”

Ireland’s only literary festival with Maeve Binchy at its heart is returning to Dalkey Castle and Heritage Centre. With an exciting line-up of events and featuring some of Ireland’s most popular writers, Echoes 2021 will celebrate friendship, making new connections, and hearing new and unheard stories.

Over the last eighteen months, so many things we took for granted have changed. We stayed safer by staying apart. We got used to new ways of being in the world. We learned how to show solidarity and friendship at a distance. And we found different ways to connect with each other and share our stories.

This Year It Will Be Different is a short story collection Maeve Binchy published in 1995. Filled with her trademark wit and intuitive understanding of what makes people tick, This Year It Will Be Different powerfully evokes the lives of people during times of change.
