Three Pillars Press have announced the publication of its first two poetry Pamphlets – winner and runner-up in their 2026 Poetry Pamphlet competition:
GHOST MOTH by Niamh Twomey
Introspective anxieties and losses merge with climate fears, griefs and culpability. From a loved one’s burial to discarded landfill, from meditations on the natural world to formative memories, these poems breathe stories into trivial objects, moments, and the more-than-human world.
Niamh Twomey is a poet from Co. Clare, currently living in Belfast, where she is completing a PhD at the Seamus Heaney Centre. Her work has been published in Poetry London, The London Magazine, Southword and Banshee, among others.
M(OTHER)ING by Elaine Westnott-O’Brien
Suffused with everyday domesticity and parenthood, M(other)ing depicts the challenges and joys, the sense of powerlessness and the ultimate triumph of two women raising their children.
Elaine Westnott-O’Brien has had work published in The Storms Journal, The Waxed Lemon, Wexford Bohemian, and is forthcoming in Southword. She has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and was awarded a poetry mentorship with the Munster Literature Centre.
Both books will be launched by well-known poet Eleanor Hooker as part of the Dromineer-Nenagh Literary Festival on October 9 @ 6pm in the Nenagh Tourist Office.
And there will be readings from both books and from some of the shortlisted poets at the Circling the Square Poetry Festival in Thurles on October 16 @ 6.30pm in Bookworm Bookshop.
Books will be available to purchase at the launch and at the readings in Thurles, and can be purchased on the websitebook store from October 9.
About Three Pillars Press

Founded in 2025, Three Pillars Press offers a publishing platform to new and emerging poets, who haven’t published a full collection. There will be up to four new releases each year, each pamphlet consisting of 20-25 poems. We want to celebrate new poetry voices and make poetry accessible in affordable editions. Each pamphlet will be carefully edited and designed, and will be available from the Press’s on-line store, at launches, readings, and through selected bookshops.
The Founding Editors are Ger Duffy and Billy Fenton, both who are emerging poets themselves, and are widely published in Irish and UK journals.
