Irish Crime Authors hit California in October!!
Irish crime fiction will be getting a lot of attention at this year’s Los Gatos Listowel Writing Festival in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Californian town of Los Gatos is a sister city with Listowel Writing Festival.
The festival dates are 6th to the 9th October 2016.
Firstly –Women in Irish Crime Fiction – is on the 8th October, in which myself and Irish crime writer Niamh O’Connor will read from our contributions to the new anthology of Irish crime writing, Trouble Is Our Business. We will be joined by Claire McGowan, author of the “Paula Maguire” crime series.
“Detective as Muse – Crime Across The Miles – happens on the 9th October, where I’ll part of a panel discussion with a local Bay Area crime novelist, as well as Dublin-based Garda detective Tom Doyle and Dublin-born San Francisco CSI investigator Ronan Shouldice.

LOUISE PHILLIPS is the bestselling author of five psychological crime thrillers. Her debut novel RED RIBBONS, and her subsequent Kate Pearson novels, THE DOLL’S HOUSE, LAST KISS and THE GAME CHANGER, were each nominated for Best Irish Crime Novel of the Year. She won the award in 2013.
