Join the Knights of the Borrowed Dark!

Writing.ie | Guest Bloggers | Ink Stains

To celebrate Knights of the Borrowed Dark being the Dublin UNESCO 2017 Citywide Read, Dave is giving young writers aged 8 – 14 the chance to become a Knight of the Borrowed Dark yourself.
Go to Dave Rudden.com to find an interactive map of Dublin packed with extra stories, lore and content from the world of Knights of the Borrowed Dark. This map is also marked with all of Dublin’s libraries in gold, and clicking on these will allow you to submit your own Knights of the Borrowed Dark story. It can be anything – the tale of a virtuous Knight, a historical account of a famous battle or a newspaper article about strange happenings near the library.
The best entries will win free signed copies of KOTBD and the more entries we get, the more content is unlocked, so do spread the word! The closing date has now been extended to March 19th, and you can enter from anywhere in Ireland.
To enter, simply –
1) Go to daverudden.com and click on ‘Join the Order.’
2) Make an account to see our interactive map of Dublin with new stories, content and lore from the world of KOTBD, as well as videos of the extremely creepy Woman in White…
3) Click on the gold markers to find your local library and get writing!
Stories should be no longer than 400 words, and the new closing date is March 19th – which is also the date of the St. Patrick’s Festival Big Day Out. This is a massive free family party held in Merrion Square for all ages, with food, face-painters, performers, workshops, readings from Dave, cosplayers and more.
See you there!
