Sans. PRESS is delighted to invite the public to the launch of our newest anthology

The Last Five Minutes of the Storm, which will take place on Saturday, the 18th of June at Wickham Way Market, from 10 am to 4pm. This publication will feature as the third issue of the Sans. PRESS anthologies, and is only possible thanks to the support of the Arts Council.

Founded in 2020, Sans. PRESS is a local independent press, run by three University of Limerick alumni. With a strong magic realism influence, we aim to promote new and emerging writers, and to find stories that are fresh & weird. As a group of friends who is passionate about sharing the stories we love, we’re ecstatic to have the opportunity to host our first in-person book launch!

The Last Five Minutes of the Storm is a short story and poetry collection that revolves around the themes of grief, power and endurance, considered “a stunning collection of writings” by Joseph O’Connor, author of 2019 Novel of the Year. With a mix of new and emerging writers featured, and narratives that have been described by award-winning writer Donal Ryan as “works of extraordinary beauty”, it’s a collection set to leave an impression in the hearts of its readers for a long time.

More information about Sans. PRESS can be found on our website, sanspress.com, or directly through our email, submissionsanspress@gmail.com. The first two Sans. PRESS anthologies (The Secret Lives and Because That’s Where Your Heart Is) can be found on local bookshops, O’Mahony’s and the Crescent Bookshop, as well as online on TheBookshop.ie.
