Scribble Publishing is a new company founded with the aim of kick-starting and supporting the careers of talented, new writers. As such, we are dedicated to providing opportunities to new writers and young people, and are launching our first short story competition.
As this year marks 100 years since the beginning of the First World War, we are looking for submissions of short stories on the topic of WW1 from young writers to be published in our Centenary Anthology eBook. If you are a young writer aged 13-21, we’d love to hear from you.
To be eligible to enter you must:
-Be aged 13-21 and not previously professionally published.
-Write a short story on the subject of WW1 of no more than 5000 words.
-Send your submission as a word or PDF file to scribblepublishing@gmail.com by 30th September 2014, with details of your name, age, D.O.B and please let us know how you heard about the competition.
Terms and Conditions
  • Works will be subject to editing by Scribble Publishing staff.
  • You may submit more than one entry, but no more than one submission by one author will be published.
  • Entries submitted after 6pm on 30/09/14 will not be considered.
  • Works over 5000 words (excluding titles) will not be considered.
  • Winners will be contacted via email after the closing date.
  • Due to volume of submissions it may not be possible to give individual feedback to every entrant.
