Blessington Bookstore and Russborough House present:

Harry Potter Trivia Tournament

1pm, Monday 31 July 2017

Hippodrome Arena, Russborough House, Blessington, Co. Wicklow

The Harry Potter Trivia Tournament presents an amazing challenge of champions where the muggles are separated from the witches and wizards to see who is most knowledgeable about the secret, magical world of Harry Potter. After taking part in the Tournament in Russborough House, the winning team will be invited to central London to take part in a second Harry Potter book quiz to find the ultimate winner from the 20 finalist teams.  Prizes include special hardback and illustrated editions of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

This special Harry Potter event to celebrate 20 years of Harry Potter magic is hosted by the Blessington Book Store and Russborough House and Parklands. The Trivia Tournament commences at 1pm in Russborough’s Hippodrome Arena. Teams of four will compete for prizes of special Harry Potter editions and merchandise from Bloomsbury Publishing. The quiz will be followed by a special display from the National Bird of Prey Centre. Everyone is then welcome to meet the birds, who will have their feathers preened and ready for plenty of selfies!

Come early to get lost in Russborough’s maze and take the trail to a magical fairy island. The grounds are open from 10am to 6pm, with plenty to see and do for all the family. Have lunch at Brambles Cafe or bring a picnic and gaze at the many beautiful views.

Arrive in wizarding robes or your best Potter-themed costume to earn bonus points for your team. This will be an all-Ireland quiz, as the Blessington Book Store has been selected by Bloomsbury Publishing as the only shop in Ireland, and one of only 20 bookshops in total, to host the Harry Potter Trivia Tournament.

Tickets are just €40 for a table of four to enter the Trivia Tournament and enjoy the Birds of Prey display. Entry to the car park at Russborough costs €2. Ample disabled parking is also available. For detailed directions and transport options please see http://www.russborough.ie/plan-your-visit/directions.
