If you are writing for children, Childrens Books Ireland is a must stop website (for more information see our Essential Resources for Writers). Their Inis Magazine is a superb insight into the industry, packed full of interviews and reviews.

Childrens books cover everything from picture books to pre tweens and include authors from John Boyne, Roddy Doyle and Oisin McGann to Judy Curtain, Maeve Friel and Sarah Webb. As in every other genre, Irish writers make themselves heard!

This section is an ever growing resource for both writers and readers, to keep up to date with our interviews as we post them, sign up for our bulletin newsletter!

Below Irish Book Awards winner Niamh Sharkey and International Bestseller Sarah Webb launch the Story Spark -· season of tales, literature and imagination for kids made up of readings, workshops and story labs with well known writers, illustrators and story tellers. This was one of many Children’s Books Ireland initiatives that ran in conjunction with The Ark, a cultural centre for children in Dublin’s Temple Bar.
