JM Lane

J.M. Lane is an Irish writer, father, foster parent and serving Garda living in the Ox Mountains of County Sligo. His work draws on Irish folklore, rural isolation, family trauma and the strange darkness that can exist beneath ordinary lives. He is the author of The Raven Chronicles, The Things We Kept and the forthcoming Irish Gothic crime novel Why the Curlew Cries. After surviving cancer and major surgery at forty, he stopped treating writing as something to pursue someday. He writes about flawed people, damaged families and the stubborn possibility that inherited hurt does not have to be passed on.
