Alison Lawless

I’m losing my footing
About to fall.
As the cliff edge crumbles
Will you hear me call.

Please burn a candle
To light my way.
Through my darkest hour
Turning night into day.

Can you hold me close
Tell me all will be well.
Lie if needs be
Not like I can tell.

Hold my hand
Walk the same path.
Break isolation.
Witness aftermath.

You are my strength
The one I live for.
You are my beacon
Part of my core.

Without you near I wouldn’t be me.
You make me the person I need to be.
