Welcome back to another week in the charts, and we have some new entries this week! At the top of the Top 20 is, no surprise, David Walliams holding on to his spot with MegaMonster but right behind him is John Connolly with a new book, The Nameless Ones, which also grabs no. 6 with an alternative format as well as no. 1 in Original Fiction. At the other end of the Top 20 are new books from Nick Foster, Murder at Roaringwater, and Christy Lefteri with Songbirds so there’s a great range for both fiction and non-fiction fans this week!

The Non-Fiction charts are very much about looking after yourself – not surprising, given recent months. For physical health, Trisha’s 21-Day Reset by Trisha Lewis is right up at no. 2 in Paperback Non-Fiction while in Hardback we’ve got the newest offering from everybody’s favourite fitness freak, Joe Wicks with Joe’s Family Food at no. 8. If you’re in peak condition but your mental health needs a bit of work, perhaps you’re one of the many who’ve bought Good Vibes, Good Life by Vex King (Paperback, no. 9), Mind Full: Unwreck your head, de-stress your life by Dermot Whelan (Paperback, no. 7) or Awaken Your Power Within by Gerry Hussey (Paperback, no. 3).

Finally, this week is a great week for Matt Haig who has a double whammy with no. 4 in the Top 20, The Midnight Library also taking no. 1 in Mass Market Fiction, and – this week’s featured book – no. 3 in the Top 20 and no. 1 in Paperback Non-Fiction, The Comfort Book. Matt Haig’s a tireless advocate for mental health support so it’s great to see him get those two no. 1’s in one week! Here’s the blurb for The Comfort Book:

Reflections on hope, survival and the messy miracle of being alive

It is a strange paradox, that many of the clearest, most comforting life lessons are learned while we are at our lowest. But then we never think about food more than when we are hungry and we never think about life rafts more than when we are thrown overboard.

The Comfort Book is a collection of consolations learned in hard times and suggestions for making the bad days better. Drawing on maxims, memoir and the inspirational lives of others, these meditations celebrate the ever-changing wonder of living. This is for when we need the wisdom of a friend or a reminder we can always nurture inner strength and hope, even in our busy world.

A book of timeless comfort for modern minds.

And now this week’s charts, with the Top 20 followed by the Top 10 in each category. Have a great weekend!
