Some fabulous new books out; almost like the powers-that-be realised we need some escapism to cope with the crazy world! We have pure fun with Sophie Kinsella’s new novel: My Not So Perfect Life: A Novel which has gone straight in at no. 5 and the heartwarming The Things I Should Have Told You by Carmel Harrington at no. 8. Gail O’Rorke’s story is heartbreakingly told in Crime or Compassion? One Woman’s Story of a Loving Friendship that Knew No Bounds, which has come into the charts at number 4 in the Paperback Non-Fiction; if you need something a little more helpful, try Ruby Wax’s A Mindfulness Guide for the Frazzled which has been released in paperback following the popularity of her first guide to mindfulness, Sane New World.
However, our featured book this week is John Boyne’s The Heart’s Invisible Furies. The moving new novel from the author of The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas has been met with acclaim, and this week, brand new out in hardback (with an absolutely beautiful cover), it’s gone straight into the Top 20 at no. 4.
