Irish Bestsellers 12th November 2016
It’s creeping closer to Christmas (yikes) and we’re seeing some popular present choices in the charts: Guinness World Records: 2017 and Ripley’s Believe It or Not! 2017 are both in the Hardback Non-Fiction (and the Top 20 for Guinness World Records, of course) and in Children’s we have old rivals The Beano and The Dandy annuals. Nothing comes close to the new David Walliams The Midnight Gang which has, surprise, surprise, gone straight into no. 1 both here and across the water in the UK.
Our featured book this week is one that we mentioned briefly when it came out a couple of weeks ago. Lyrebird by Cecilia Ahern has crept up to no. 3 in Original Fiction and no. 12 in the Top 20, and with another beautiful cover and intriguing storyline, it seemed like a great book to feature. Here’s a bit more about it:
