Another week and more changes in the charts. We have the long-awaited return of Robert Galbraith this week with the Cormoran Strike series, Lethal White, which has gone into the Top 20 at no. 6; of course, Rowling also has two books in the Children’s Chart with the first two Harry Potter books and come November no doubt the screenplay of the latest Fantastic Beasts film will be up there too! All we need now is for her to bring out a cookery book (Cooking With DoomBar: A Strike CookBook, I suggest) and she will have conquered ALL the charts.

Other new or recent releases include The Skin Nerd by Jennifer Rock, straight into the charts at no. 7 or no. 2 for Hardback Non-Fiction, and a new Joe Wicks book, Joe’s 30 Minute Meals, which has just managed to get into the top 10 Hardback Non-Fiction but we’re sure it’ll be around for a good while; Christmas is always a good time for Wicks fans. Finally, speaking of Christmas, you know it’s on its way when the Guinness Book of Records makes its first appearance, and there it is, sliding in at no. 20…

In Fiction, this week’s featured book is from the team that brought us Oh My God What A Complete Aisling The Novel, which has never been out of the charts since its release and is now joined by the sequel, The Importance of Being Aisling: Country Roads, Take Her Home. Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen now have both books in the Top 10, and we predict a lot of success for them! Here’s the blurb:

*** Can’t get enough of Aisling? THE NO I IRISH BESTSELLER and hilarious follow-up to the smash-hit romantic comedy Oh My God, What a Complete Aisling is AVAILABLE IN EBOOK ONLY NOW! ***

‘Should come with a health warning. Ten pages in my face hurts from grinning and my neck hurts from nodding along in recognition at the universal wisdoms. There’s a smile in every page, some genuinely hilarious moments, and so much heartThe Importance of Being Aisling is a day-maker – the cure for cynicism, Trump and whatever else ails you’ Sunday Independent

You can take the small-town girl out of the big city – but can you take the big city out of the girl?

Job. Flat. Boyfriend. Tick. Tick. Tick.

Aisling (seems) to be winning at life. But life has other ideas.

Fired. Homeless. Dumped. Tick. Tick. Tick

When everything comes crashing down around her, moving back in with her mam seems like a disaster.

But might returning to her roots provide the answers Aisling’s looking for?

Praise for Oh My God, What a Complete Aisling

‘Comparisons with Bridget Jones are spot on’ Independent

‘The year’s funniest book’ Hello

‘There aren’t enough words for how much I love it’ Marian Keyes

‘Will have you laughing your socks off’ Fabulous

‘It has a great big thumping heart’ Sunday Times

And now on to the great big thumping charts, with the Top 20 followed by the Top 10 in each category:
