And with the last charts of November, we’re definitely on the home straight to the end of the year. We’ve got the big hitters like Walliams (still streets ahead at the top of the charts with over four thousand sales) and Rowling, and there’s of course a lot of festive fare in the Children’s charts with fabulous titles like The Wonky Donkey by Craig Smith, Happy Christmas, Pigín! by Kathleen Watkins, and The First Christmas Jumper and the Sheep Who Changed Everything by Ryan Tubridy. You’ve also got some seasonal choices for adults, with One Day in December by Josie Silver, in the Mass Market Fiction Chart. Finally, this week’s only new release is the brand new Fire and Blood by George R. R. Martin, the first of two hefty volumes giving backstories to the world created in the Song of Ice and Fire series.

Our featured book this week is a previous featured book, and the winner of a shiny new trophy at the An Post Irish Book Awards 2018! Blazing a Trail: Irish Women Who Changed The World by the fabulous Sarah Webb and illustrator Lauren O’Neill took the National Book Tokens Children’s Book of the Year (Senior) award in a very well-deserved win and we’re over the moon. Here’s the info:

A book for everyone who dreams of changing the world.

From fearless aviator, Lady Mary Heath, the first woman in the world to parachute from an aeroplane, to Margaret Bulkley, the 18th-century surgeon who lived as a man, meet 28 remarkable Irish women who have taken the world by storm.

You may have already heard some of their names, like Countess Markievicz and Mary Robinson, but others, like Anne Sullivan, Lilian Bland or Anna Haslam, may be new to you.

Packed with fun, fascinating facts and stunning, full-page illustrations, this book celebrates the trail blazers who have shaped the world we live in.

Ready to walk in their footsteps? A world of bravery and discovery awaits you.

Made by two remarkable women, author Sarah Webb and illustrator Lauren O’Neill.

And now, on to this week’s charts with the Top 20 followed by the Top 10 in each category:
