Another week, another set of bestseller charts marking the passing of time… We’ve got a very successful top 5 this week, with all of them clocking in over a thousand sales, but whilst these big hitters may be swapping positions (Oh My God What a Complete Aisling taking over Marian Keyes’ The Break, for instance), they’re holding firm and not letting any new whippersnappers in. Further down, we do have a couple of rising stars in most categories. Robert Harris has a new novel out, Munich, which is in at no. 11, and Ken Follett is a little way behind with his new book, A Column of Fire: The Kingsbridge Novels. Padre Pio is dominating the Paperback Non-Fiction but we also have new entries from Russell Brand with Recovery: Freedom from our Addictions and Fergal Keane with Wounds: A Memoir of War and Love. It’s nice, also, to see Dara O’Briain topping the Children’s Charts as balance returns to the force and David Walliams once again takes multiple spots as the run-up to Christmas seriously gets underway.

In Hardback Non-Fiction Hillary Clinton is standing her ground, but Jamie Oliver is challenging with 5 Ingredients; and our featured book this week is the newest entry to the charts coming in at no. 4 in Hardback Non-Fiction and no. 10 overall. Half Hour Hero is Roz Purcell’s answer to the challenge of how to make healthy, “clean” food  in an age where time is not a luxury most families have. Now all we need is someone to tell us how to cook “clean” on a budget, in half an hour, for kids who won’t eat anything but beans. Hmmm, future bestseller there if anyone can write it… In the meantime, here’s the blurb for Half Hour Hero:

Want to eat well but feel you don’t have the time?

Roz Purcell will show you how tasty and healthy whole foods can be – and how easy it is to fit them into a busy lifestyle. Using readily available ingredients and store cupboard essentials, Roz’s whole foods recipes are quick, simple, nutritious and most of all, delicious.

In less than thirty minutes, you can prepare, cook, and enjoy natural food that helps you look and feel healthier and happier.

With over 100 easy to follow recipes, Half Hour Hero will prove that healthy eating can be fuss-free. From tasty breakfasts, hearty dinners, indulgent desserts, to snacks and tonics to enjoy on the go, Roz will show you how to cook quick dishes that will put natural whole foods at the heart of any life, no matter how hectic.

Eating well has never been so simple.

And now, let’s move on to the charts, starting as always with the Top 20:
