Welcome back to another week in the charts! This week’s big news is, of course, the release of Sinead O’Connor’s new book Rememberings; with almost three thousand sales this week, it’s definitely the no. 1 book. It’s not the only new book in the charts though; at the other end of the Top 20 we have footballer and activist Marcus Rashford’s You Are A Champion: How to Be the Best You Can Be and with Rashford’s advocacy for disadvantaged children, and copies of his book being donated to children by WH Smith in the UK, we’d very much like to see him climb higher in the ranks.

Speaking of children, if your kids need an idea for summer activities, why not take a look in the Children’s Top 10? Top of the charts this week is the new novel from David O’Doherty, The Summer I Robbed A Bank – at least, we assume it’s a novel, rather than practical advice…

And this week’s featured book is the latest release from Jo Spain, the bestselling author of Dirty Little Secrets. Her newest thriller, The Perfect Lie, is in the Original Fiction chart at no. 5 and the Top 20 at no. 9; here’s the blurb:

‘A fabulous page-turner that will keep you guessing and guessing’ CARA HUNTER
‘Intense, clever writing and packed with twists and turns’ DERVLA MCTIERNAN
‘Another twisty and intense thriller from the great Jo Spain’ ADRIAN MCKINTY

He jumped to his death in front of witnesses. Now his wife is charged with murder.

Five years ago, Erin Kennedy moved to New York following a family tragedy. She now lives happily with her detective husband in the scenic seaside town of Newport, Long Island. When Erin answers the door to Danny’s police colleagues one morning, it’s the start of an ordinary day. But behind her, Danny walks to the window of their fourth-floor apartment and jumps to his death.

Eighteen months later, Erin is in court, charged with her husband’s murder. Over that year and a half, Erin has learned things about Danny she could never have imagined. She thought he was perfect. She thought their life was perfect.

But it was all built on the perfect lie.

‘Superbly written, cinematic and pacy!’ STEVE CAVANAGH
‘Domestic noir at its best’ M. T. EDVARDSSON

‘Grabs you by the throat’ LIZ NUGENT
‘A top-notch thriller’ T. M. LOGAN
‘Chilling and all too plausible’ JAMES OSWALD

‘I loved this book and it deserves to fly to the top of the charts’ ELLY GRIFFITHS
‘A sure-fire smash hit!’ CAZ FREAR
The Perfect Lie will pin you to your seat until you reach the last page’ JANE CASEY

‘So good you won’t want it to end’ DAILY MAIL
‘A jewel of a thriller’ HEAT

‘With so many “oh my gosh” moments, this will have you absolutely gripped’ PRIMA
‘Be warned: this book will keep you up all night!’ CLOSER

And now this week’s bestseller charts…
