Sarah O’Keefe, former Publishing Director of the Atlantic Books’ imprint Corvus, has joined Aevitas Creative Management as an agent. She will represent literary and commercial fiction, along with some middle-grade and YA fiction.

She forms part of a team of six agents in London, which works closely with the US office, to represent fiction and non-fiction authors worldwide. They also have a dedicated team working on film and television rights.

Sara O’ Keeffe says “I’m excited to join the growing team at ACM UK. Toby Mundy originally brought me to Atlantic and I know his talent for building collegiate, creative teams of people. My new colleagues in New York could not be more welcoming or supportive. After so many years as a fiction editor, this feels like a natural next step for me and I can’t wait to get started.”

Toby Mundy, CEO of Aevitas Creative Management UK says “We’re thrilled that Sara has joined us. She’s a brilliant self-starter and her deep knowledge and understanding of the fiction arena, drawing on twenty years of publishing experience, make her a great addition to the ACM UK team.”

Sara O’ Keeffe has 20 years’ publishing experience. She began her career at Book Club Associates, before moving to the Orion Publishing Group, where she was a Senior Commissioning Editor. She then spent eight years as Editorial and then Publishing Director of the Corvus commercial fiction imprint of Atlantic Books and also sat on the Atlantic Books Limited Board of Directors. Sara has worked with a host of major brand names in fiction, from crime writer Minette Walters to bestselling author Elizabeth Buchan; Roman epic series writer Robert Fabbri and award-winning science fiction writer Chris Beckett. She was the UK editor for Kevin Kwan’s international bestseller, Crazy Rich Asians along with Robert Ludlum’s ‘Bourne’ series. She acquired and published the cult bestseller Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell, which spent six weeks at the top of the New York Times bestseller list. Sara has a particular passion for Irish writing and has previously published the rising stars Eithne Shortall, Catherine Ryan Howard and Rachel Donohue.
