TheSpark.ie is a launchpad for new Irish artists in music, film, poetry, dance, photography, art, and more.  Our ambition is simple: to rally the global Irish family to support our emerging artists.

With some 60 Irish artists across eight artforms already on the website, the work is distinctive, original and often very moving.  Artists can create and upload their portfolio of work where we curate it and share it with the world.

Developed by a group of artists, filmmakers, writers and advertising folk, this non-profit, cultural project has been spearheaded by Mags McLoughlin. She and the team at TheSpark.ie are asking people to share the link to the website with at least ONE other Irish person around the world in order to spread the word about this exciting new, artistic venture. That way, the chain is enacted and we get our extensive, global tribe to fan the spark of Irish creativity.

The site is self-funded and seeks patronage from individuals, companies and Irish organisations worldwide.

Our job is to get these creative gems in front of the global Irish diaspora and those who love Irish culture.  This is where the power and generosity of the global Irish family come in. We want the world to celebrate Irish creativity,” McLoughlin says.

TheSpark.ie also plan to include a short fiction section in the near future.   All submissions welcome. Up to 3k words. For selected works an author page will be created which would include short biog, photo and links to any web/social media pages.   All Rights remain with author.

A social media campaign to promote TheSpark.ie on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter has already begun in the US, the UK and across Europe as well as in Australia and New Zealand.
