Competition deadline: 31st October 2026

Wexford Pride is an entirely volunteer community organisation dedicated to supporting, celebrating and uplifting the LGBTQIA+ community across Co. Wexford. All of our events and groups are dedicated to accountability. This means we work to raise the community consciousness around classism, racism, anti-Traveller racism, anti-fatness, and other forms of oppression. Wexford Pride is proud to welcome all adult (18+) members of the LGBTQIA+ community* regardless of intersection.

If you are under 18, you can find an LGBTQ+ youth group on the Belong To website.

Wexford Pride Competition Guidelines

  1. Stories must be your own work, and not previously published. No AI assistance permitted; all entries must be original, unaided work of the Author. The use of AI tools to generate or assist in the creation of any part of the story – including plot, language, editing, or phrasing – is strictly prohibited.
  2. This year Wexford Pride wants to celebrate our LGBTQIA+ community so your work should have a theme of Queer Joy. Our Community experiences enough hate and violence so please avoid gratuitous hate, violence or assault.
