Wishing you a very Merry Christmas from the team at www.writing.ie, with lots of ‘you’ time to focus on and form your writing plans – make 2020 YOUR year! We’ll be bringing lots of motivational content to you over the next few weeks. The New Year is always a great time to evaluate and make changes if they are needed, and for those with looming deadlines (ahem), the holiday period will give us a chance to get stuck in!

This fabulous snowman was created by Galway City Library and we love him! Galway is European City of Culture in 2020, more info here! Your local library offers the most incredible services, can source books from anywhere in the country, and for anyone who loves audio books, your can get them for free via Borrowbox. Libraries also run an incredible array of events, have the most knowledgeable staff, run writers groups and book clubs, and they are vital to encourge the readers of the future! If you’re not a member, check out your local branch and find out what they have to offer!

Here is Galway City Library’s snowman in his full glory – we’ve seen lots of book Christmas trees but he’s a bit of fun!
