I do everything backwards. I worked as a journalist, feature writer, magazine editor, newspaper editor before taking an English Studies degree at TCD, followed by an MLIS at UCD. I have been facilitating writing workshops for 3 years in Dublin, as a certified Amherst Writers and Artists method leader. Currently working on draft two of The Novel.

Current project

It’s a bit mad, a bit funny (I hope!) and features a blousy, colour-full, independent woman of indeterminate age (she would determine it as 40, others would go higher) who has moved to an island in the Atlantic. The inhabitants of a small, depressed village on the island don’t know they need her, but they do. They find themselves working under her sunny spell to raise the appeal of their village so that tourists will come flocking along with the sheep. Unfortunately, this work involves stealing on a community-wide scale. And then, there’s the body on the beach. Which she may, or may not, have caused to be there. The villagers are suspicious.
