Hey there,

Just wanted to let you know that my chapbook “The Donkey & Soul” is now up on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DM9BBWJ6).

If you’re into poetry or just fancy a quick read, you might want to check it out. It’s about a farmer, his dog, and this weird donkey that shows up. There’s stuff about memories, getting old, and all that existential jazz.

I’m making it FREE to download from November 18th Nov – 22nd, 2024. So if you’re curious, grab a copy then. It’d be great to hear what you think, so feel free to leave a review if you’re up for it.

It’s not exactly light reading, but if you’re in the mood for something a bit different, give it a go.

The wonderful Donna Black has drawn up all 27 gorgeous illustrations that accompany each one of my poems, so even if you don’t like my poetry, you can still enjoy the artwork.

Here is a sample from page 1 / 2: If you like what you read please checkout the full ebook/paperback for more. ITS FREE 18th Nov – 22nd.

Page I:
Eternal lights blaze in the sky,
Memories lost, yet still they shine.

The donkey stands beneath their glow,
Guarding souls not yet let go.

No tears he sheds, no horrors shake him,
Between two realms, his place he’s taken.

In still sands of time’s hourglass,
The future born from what’s now past.

A wandering soul, adrift, alone,
Seeks the refuge it once called home.

Loyal friend, innocent and true,
Joins this journey to bid life adieu.

Page II:
“Where have I walked?” The farmer’s mind
Grasps for memories it cannot find.

Shadows of a life unknown
Play on walls of a house he once called home.

The donkey waits with solemn stare
As the farmer breathes the still, sharp air.

Two pillows on a bed pristine –
A life shared or a half-remembered dream?

Sipping tea by crackling fire,
The farmer drifts as embers tire.
