A lifetime of study and practice has gone into my new publication, Draíocht Ceoil : The Sound of Magic in Irish Traditions. This will be a comprehensive explanation of the origins of the folk practice of Draíocht Ceoil, as well as a practical guide to using and exploring this rich practice. From the lays and satires of the Filí to the relationship between musicians and the Sí there is plenty to interest the serious student of folklore and folk magic.
